I'd play eight men in the box all game with two corners and a single safety no more than 10-12 yards off the line of scrimmage. The rest are big bodies to stop the run and make the Pats' OL protect the QB. Seems like a winning strategy to me.

Even with a banged up 49ers, they are going to run roughshod over the beleagured and rebuilding Patriots. Unless the Patriots just "had a bad week" and really pull things together, it will go south quick.

I wish I could pick the Patriots but it is hard to see them giving another competive performance like they did against the Bengals and the Seahawks. The 49ers are such a good team.

What the patriots lack in talent, the 49ers make up for in injuries. The Pats contain the 49ers ground game while doing enough on the ground on their own to win the time of possession battle and sneak out a win

Niners are superior in every way. Pats D has something of a comeback game, but.... The game will only be this close because of SF injuries.

Unless the Pat's O-line has an epiphany with a higher being I don't see this game being anything close to competitive. Even though the few bright spots on D will continue to bring it, I don't see them stopping the Purdy train.
