Week 1: Patriots vs. Raiders
Same ol' crap team? Mediocrity? Contender?
Week 1 is here! That means we're ready to see what this new team looks like. Will they continue to struggle and finish at the bottom of the league, this season? Will they make a few steps forward and be "mediocre"? Or, will they surprise us all and make a real push for the playoffs. Time will tell, but Week 1 we get our first taste. I'm just hoping for progress compared to last season. Patriots win 26-21

Despite all the unknowns, I think the Patriots still have enough to win their opener. The improved offensive line should give Maye enough time to operate effectively, and they've added explosiveness to their offense with Henderson, Diggs, & Williams. Despite missing Gonzo & cutting Peppers, I'm excited to see the secondary operate -- especially excited for Woodson.

Bold Prediction: The Patriots score a 60+ yard touchdown on offense

I still need to see the OL has shown its improved. Do we have another Ras IR in the secondary? (Hope not.) Rookie PK has a decent start.
Raiders win 17-16
Bold Prediction: Henderson scores the first Pats TD.

Raiders march down the field on our defense but have to settle for lots of FGs. Drake Maye has to run for his life a lot but has some big runs to avoid the pass rush. Mondre gets a bulk of the carries over Henderson.
Patriots win 20-16
Bold Prediction: Mondre scores a TD and doesn't fumble the ball all game.

More talent on offense gives the Raidizz an advantage. Pats' D can't stop everything. Pats' O sputters at times. Not quite ready for Prime Time.

Bold Prediction: Rookie Running Backs lead the way for both teams.

Pats hit gold with every starting rookie & FA. - monster games, all around. Josh game plan shreds Brady's Boys.D. Maye takes 0 sacks and faces 2 pressures.

Weather slows down the passing attack on both sides. Turnovers give each team a couple short fields. I don't have a good feel for either team right now, so I'm just guessing at this point. :)
