Week 9: Patriots vs. Falcons
Can Drake keep this up?
Drake's completion percentage is crazy good, but he eventually has to come back down to Earth. Is it this week? Does he put up similar numbers against the #1 passing defense in the league? We'll see! It's been nice being able to watch a Pats team that can actually compete.

Patriots are riding high but have a false sense of hope with their cupcake schedule. This is the week my prediction finally comes through. Falcons will get their 28-3 redemption. Austin Hooper was on the Falcons in the 28-3 game and I am he is still bitter from that defeat, so he joined the Pats in anticipation of this game. He helps sabotage the Pats by fumbling the ball for a Falcons TD and dropping easy catches. Pats Nation starts imploding and bickering with each other about how we were duped into thinking we were contenders. (tl:dr Being an incel makes me angry.)
Falcons win 28-3
Bold Prediction: Arthur Blank comes onto the field and flips off Pats fans

Pats run defense continues their hot streak by containing Bijan Robinson (25 yards last week), and Maye continues to let fly. Henderson getting more involved last week is a great sign for the running back room.
Patriots win 49-8
Bold Prediction: Marcus Jones scores three touchdowns, one for each year of his extension and one on every side of the ball (offense, defense, special teams)
Zoo
Another big test for our offense. Atlanta has one of the best pass defenses in the NFL. Hopefully, we build upon the last game(s) and continue improving the run game, because Atlanta is pretty weak here. The defense will have their hands full with Bijan Robinson, so this will be another test for this run defense. The team needs to stay focused and limit mistakes, here, but this should be another easy game for the Pats.
Patriots win 30-17
Bold Prediction: Drake and Josh show that they can throw against any defense and Drake gets his first 300+ yard 3 TD game against the #1 passing defense in the NFL.
Jdog
This should be a tougher matchup. Pats have difficulty stopping Bijan in the passing game but somewhat limit him in the running game. Pats come out with a similar offeensive gameplan as the Browns and will utilize the screen game more this week to slow down their pass rush. Game is somewhat close in the beginning but then blow it open in the 3rd with steller play calling and adjustments by Vrabel and JMD.
Patriots win 31-17
Bold Prediction: Pats have a closing the half TD and an opening drive TD in the 2nd half.
MAC
This is a tough one to call. Maybe McD will have enough confidence to open up the playbook to counter the ATL defense. Meanwhile the defense will have their hands full with the ATL rush game. Pats need to take advantage of the inconsistent ATL QB situation.
Patriots win 27-24
Bold Prediction: Maye says FU to the ATL secondary and blitz and throws 3 TDs.
Blighty
The falcons offense has the talent to put up points. Look for the defense to figure things out as the game progresses, and the Pats offense to put up enough points to take the W.
Patriots win 34-20
Bold Prediction: Henderson 2 TDs, 150+ all purpose yards.

Falcons actually open the scoring and have a lead most of the first half, but the pats have recently shown a habit of getting stingier on defense as the game goes on, and i think they lock it down in the second half. Drake struggles a little bit and turns it over again, but also makes some big plays in the second half to ice the game

Bold Prediction: Treyveyon breaks a 50+ yard scoring run, and drake throws a 50+ yard td pass

D has 3 turnovers and one of them is returned.for TD. No Pats TOs. PS RB has a day bigger than expected, just as the year has been going. O-line plays great with 0 sacks, 0 hits, 2 pressures. Drake has no need to extend plays with his legs...but he uses them wisely.
Patriots win 28-3
Bold Prediction: Drake hits perfect passer rating & Arthur Blank looks more depressed in owners box, than Jerruh usually does.

I really can't point to anything in particular. It's just that everything is going too good right now, and Boston sports fans are a pessimistic bunch. I can see the Falcons scheming something that's gonna take the offense too long to figure out, and the comeback falls short.
Falcons win 27-24
Bold Prediction: Maye gets his first 300-yard passing game, but that's because he's gotta throw most of the second half. The Falcons will score on a trick play. Maybe a fumblerooski. Go ahead. Say it. It's fun.

Penix sucks again, and Bijan can't do it all by himself. Pats don't run away with it, but are clearly the better team.

Bold Prediction: Will this be the week that an opponent finally figures out that all they have to do is to prevent Drake from rolling out to his right?
